Some ramparts exist to fight violent behaviours on social networks, .The #IAmHere group is present in many countries and combats violence and hate on social networks. They are also implicated to reestablish truth with official sources to defeat fake news.
In this podcast, I was pleased to discuss with, Xavier Brandao who is the founder of the French group. With him, we come back to the various problems encountered on social networks (violence, harassment, death threats, etc.) and how to protect yourself.
In general, if you are the victim of violent comments or harassment on social media, do not stay alone and discuss it with your family or a closed friend. Hateful behavior is punishable by law (1 to 2 years imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 to 30,000 euros).
