“The marathon is a fight, just like my life — it’s my way of showing that I exist.”
Claude Revert

Fondation Ipsen is proud to present the documentary “Claude Revert: Still Standing” a film that retraces the extraordinary journey of a man who chose to transform pain into strength, and difference into a source of hope.

Born with Hirschsprung’s disease, a rare intestinal disorder that prevents the digestive system from functioning properly, Claude Revert has spent his entire life defying the odds. Abandoned at birth, operated on in his first days, raised under state care, and later a wounded serviceman, he grew up through struggle — and resilience.

Despite the fatigue, the pain, and the daily challenges of an invisible illness, Claude found in running a way to live fully. “When I run, I prove that I’m alive,” he says. Each stride has become an act of resistance, a testament of courage, and a message of encouragement to everyone living with a rare disease or an invisible disability.

For his 54th birthday, Claude set himself a symbolic challenge: to run 54 kilometers around Paris in support of Bleuet de France, with the backing of the Île-de-France Regional Olympic and Sports Committee (CROS Île-de-France). Surrounded by friends, volunteers, and supporters, he completed this extraordinary race — a true symbol of solidarity and perseverance.

The Fondation Ipsen documentary follows Claude throughout this powerful day of effort and emotion. Through the eyes of his loved ones, his running partners, and those he inspires, the film reveals a universal struggle — the will to stand tall, no matter what.

Claude also shares his story in L’Orphelin Revert, written with Simon Lucas and now available as an audiobook. His testimony extends the message of the film: never give up, always move forward.
